Description
Air fryer poached eggs are eggs gently cooked in ramekins or silicone molds filled with a bit of water. The circulating heat in the air fryer creates a steam effect, resulting in perfectly poached eggs without the need for swirling boiling water or vinegar. The result is tender egg whites that hold shape and golden yolks that ooze when cut open.
Ingredients
-
Fresh eggs (2–4 as needed) – the fresher the eggs, the better the poach.
-
Water (2–3 tbsp per ramekin) – creates steam to cook the eggs gently.
-
Salt and pepper (to taste) – simple seasoning for serving.
-
Optional toppings – fresh herbs, chili flakes, or a drizzle of olive oil.
Instructions
-
Preheat air fryer – set to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
-
Prepare ramekins – add 2–3 tablespoons of water to each ramekin.
-
Crack eggs – gently crack one egg into each ramekin.
-
Place in basket – set ramekins carefully into the air fryer basket.
-
Cook eggs – air fry for 6–8 minutes depending on how runny you prefer the yolk.
-
Remove and drain – lift eggs out with a slotted spoon, draining excess water.
-
Serve immediately – season with salt, pepper, or herbs.
