Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil to prevent the fish from sticking.
Step 2: Prepare the Halibut
Season the halibut fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Place the fillets on the prepared baking tray. Drizzle each fillet with olive oil, ensuring they are lightly coated.
Step 3: Add Aromatics
Scatter the sliced garlic and fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary) around the fish. Lay a few lemon slices on top of each halibut fillet to infuse them with a fresh, zesty flavor as they cook. If using butter, add a small knob on top of each fillet for extra richness.
Step 4: Roast the Halibut
