Description

Jamie Oliver Granola Dust is a nutrient-rich blend of toasted oats, nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and superfoods like cacao and cinnamon, all blitzed into a fine powder. Unlike regular granola, it’s not chunky—it’s smooth enough to mix into drinks or sprinkle over food. It’s gluten-free (if you use certified oats), naturally sweetened, and packed with fiber, healthy fats, and plant-based protein.

Ingredients

  • Rolled oats – 500g (about 5 cups)

  • Mixed nuts – 150g (e.g., almonds, cashews, hazelnuts)

  • Pumpkin seeds – 100g

  • Sunflower seeds – 50g

  • Desiccated coconut – 50g

  • Cacao powder – 2 tablespoons (or unsweetened cocoa powder)

  • Cinnamon – 1 tablespoon

  • Chia seeds – 2 tablespoons

  • Flaxseeds – 2 tablespoons

  • Medjool dates – 10, pitted

  • Zest of 1 orange (optional for freshness)

  • Sea salt – 1 small pinch

Instructions

Step 1: Toast the Base Ingredients

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • Spread oats, nuts, seeds, and coconut on a baking tray.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, stirring halfway, until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool.

Step 2: Blend the Mixture

  • Add toasted ingredients to a food processor.

  • Add cacao, cinnamon, chia, flaxseeds, dates, orange zest, and a pinch of salt.

  • Blend in batches if needed, pulsing until it turns into a fine powdery dust.

Step 3: Store and Use

  • Transfer the granola dust to clean, airtight jars or containers.

  • Store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 month.
