Instructions
Step 1: Cook the spinach
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the spinach and cook until wilted, about 2–3 minutes.
- Remove the spinach, drain any excess liquid, and set aside.
Step 2: Make the creamy base
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Step 3: Combine spinach with cream
- Return the spinach to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic butter.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir until the spinach is evenly coated.
Step 4: Add cheese and seasoning
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and a pinch of nutmeg, if using.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5: Simmer and serve
- Simmer the mixture for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
