This dip features crumbled Stilton cheese blended with cream and seasonings to create a smooth, velvety consistency. Mary Berry’s version adds a subtle twist with lemon juice and optional herbs, elevating the flavors to create a standout appetizer.

Ingredients

  • Stilton Cheese (150g, crumbled): The star ingredient, providing a bold and tangy flavor.
  • Cream Cheese (100g, softened): Adds smoothness and creaminess.
  • Sour Cream (50ml): Lightens the texture of the dip.
  • Lemon Juice (1 tbsp): Adds a zesty freshness.
  • Fresh Chives (1 tbsp, chopped): Optional, for garnish and added flavor.
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

Crumble the Stilton cheese into small pieces and chop the fresh chives if using.

Step 2: Combine the base ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and lemon juice. Mix until smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Add the Stilton

Gently fold the crumbled Stilton cheese into the mixture, leaving some small chunks for texture.

Step 4: Season and garnish

Season the dip with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped chives or your preferred toppings.

Step 5: Chill and serve

Refrigerate the dip for at least 20 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve with crackers, vegetable sticks, or warm bread.
