The secret to enjoying Christmas Day is getting as much done as possible before it arrives. These twelve recipes, inspired by Jamie Oliver’s practical, get-ahead approach, can all be made, prepped or frozen days or even weeks in advance, covering the gravy, potatoes, red cabbage, stuffing, the main event, a starter, sides and two puddings.
Each recipe tells you exactly how far ahead you can go and what to do on the day. With these ticked off, Christmas morning becomes a simple matter of oven timings, leaving you free to enjoy the day with everyone else.
