These fifteen recipes, inspired by Mary Berry’s classic and approachable cooking, offer beef, lamb, goose, duck, game, fish and a vegetarian Wellington, so there is something to suit every size of gathering and every taste.
Some are grand roasts for a full table, while others are quicker dishes for two to four people. Each one works with the familiar trimmings of roast potatoes, sprouts and a good gravy, and many can be prepared ahead to keep Christmas morning calm.
